A career in design is something I have wanted since I was a child. My teachers recognized my passion for design and art and encouraged me to pursue it.
That said, my journey into product design was untraditional. In past lives I have held several roles in various industries. These experiences have helped shape the way I think, approach problems, and bring a unique perspective to understanding users.
I specialize in Product and Visual Design. I also dabble in product mindset, design systems, and interactive design. With a background in design thinking and human-computer interaction, I have a strong foundation in user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
There are so many layers and intricacies to good digital product design. At its core, it’s about understanding the WHY and helping people achieve their goals. Good design is seamless, although the road to get there can be windy and complex. This is where my passion lives.
I have always had great attention for detail, I enjoy solving complex problems, and I strive to understand and advocate for users (people). User Experience Design is at the intersection of these three areas and it’s the best place to be.
Outside of designing - I have recently taken up surfing. I also enjoy podcasts, binge watching documentaries, eating delicious tacos, and taking my family on adventures!
